Achraf Hakimi has officially joined Inter Milan for a fee believed to be around 40 million and add ons.
Conte finds his perfect man for his preferred 3-5-2 system. Achraf Hakimi could actually become deadlier than he already is which is scary to think. But a player like Hakimi fits perfectly in Antonio Conte’s system. And if there is any manager who can bring the best out of Hakimi, it has to be Conte.
It seems like a bargain for a player of the calibre of Hakimi who has been tearing down the right-wing of Bundesliga and also showed glimpses of his brilliance in champions league matches. So Real Madrid must have included some kind of buy-back clause in his contract which I assume is the logical thing to do. Since a quality right wing-back player like that is hard to find. And he is someone who is pacy, direct, scores important goals, and assists. I would imagine it must be a hard decision for Hakimi to leave Madrid where he signed his first professional contract.
But to replace Dani Carvajal from that Madrid team right now is a big task. And he would not have got the minutes that he can get in Conte’s Inter Milan. He will certainly be one of the first names in Antonio Conte’s side. Conte has been lacking someone on the wings who is as fast and decisive like Hakimi. Hakimi was the fastest player in the Bundesliga and is one of the fastest players around the world.
He is just 21 years old and is already a regular for his national team morocco. He was one of the most important players for Borussia Dortmund for the past two years while on loan from Real Madrid. He forged a deadly partnership with England international Jadon Sancho. Jadon Sancho is also believed to be leaving Dortmund at the end of this season, but where will he end up is still a big mystery.
This is a big statement and an astute piece of business done early by Antonio Conte and Inter Milan.
